A Question about Art and Artists
You ask what an artist is? I don´t know, but I know a story about some of them!
See, they experimented with alot of different shapes, and it´s been told they also broke alot of limits down for what you could do. It´s also said that their imagination was very lively. That´s like when you play with your toys and it becomes almost alive!
But that´s not so important! They were as a matter of fact pretty ordinary, but they were also very bored. Everything was so empty, yes, they actually were!
So they experimented with alot of different shapes. Well. A shape is like a plate - there´s just no food on! And they mixed alot of shapes together and threw them around so they all broke in bits´n pieces!
It´s like when you mess with your toys and some of it breaks, but they thought that it was very pretty - eventhough they would´ve gotten a telling-off if their daddy had been there!
They also had alot of good friends, which did the same as tehm, and they all praised eachother. It was so pretty what they made! And they wrote about eachother in the newspapers, and in all the different magazines.
But everybody who didn´t understand what they made - they were just really stupid, and didn´t have the understanding of what they were doing which was necessary. They were making art for the sake of art! That´s like when your mother can´t see what you have drawn. Then she just shakes her head and give you a hug. They didn´t get a hug, so you´r lucky you have such a sweet mommy!
It was very important for these artists, that they became one with their art, they said that all the time to eachother. Well, that´s like when you want to be with your mommy and daddy, and they don´t have time, but you want it just as bad no matter what they say!
It happened one day, that the goddess of art came to them, a day where they were sitting and talking about the next big thing they should create. She would grant one wish for them, and since they didn´t want to loose face in front of eachother, they´d talked so much about how important it was, so they wished to become one with their art! - So they were turned into plates, but there´s still no food on them!
